ABOUT US
SAN FRANCISCO COMMUNITY TELEVISION CORPORATION

The San Francisco Community Television Corporation (SFCTC) is the 501.c3 nonprofit organization that manages Access SF and Cable Channel 29. Founded in 1987, the SFCTC main goals at the time were to achieve the following:

- To achieve independent nonprofit management of public access television.
- To achieve 24/7 playback of public access programming on local cable.
- To achieve a substantial upgrade of public access facilities and equipment that would benefit all San Franciscans.

In 2002, SFCTC finally reached all (3) of its intended goals. To learn more about the nonprofit that manages public access television, see our organization documents page. Our federal tax ID # is 94-3055069. All donations to the SFCTC are tax-deductible to the full extent allowed by the law.

The Access Main Studio is large enough to accommodate an in-studio audience of participants for most tapings involving a full crew. If you are a local performer, musician or stand-up comedian, you can appear on OPEN MIC!, Access SF's in-house series that is open to the community as a unique talent showcase. To appear on OPEN MIC!, contact Bobby Watts, the staff producer for the series.
