Cable Channel 29 is available 24/7/365, and its currently playback schedule breaks down into three blocks of programming each day that generally run in (8) hour cycles.
1. ORIGINAL PUBLIC ACCESS PROGRAMMING
This block includes the vast majority of programming hours on Cable Channel 29. It is anchored by an ever changing array of original, local series that are submitted by Access SF's producers members. Other programming that is not locally produced can be seen when there is local sponsor who serves as the producer record. Access SF may also schedule selections from our various in-house staff productions to be presented during this block, including The San Franciscans and Open Mic. The original programming block is generally presented as follows:
- Weekdays from 4:00pm - 12 Midnight
- Saturdays from 9:00am - 12 Midnight
- Sundays from 7:00am - 12 Midnight
2. WEEKDAY DAYTIME PROGRAMMING BEFORE 4:00PM
This block includes a small but growing number of public access producers who have opted for a series time slot during weekday, daytime hours before 4pm. See our online schedule for playback information for these shows. Otherwise, weekday daytime is generally reserved for repeated series programming from the previous day and/or longer special presentations that are sponsored by Access SF. These may include educational and topical programming that comes to us from partner organizations and other PEG Access centers around the country.
3. OVERNIGHT PROGRAMMING
This block is generally reserved for repeat programming. The main exception to this includes programs that are either mature or adult themed in nature. The station maintains a clearly expressed adult-content policy, and producers who deliver adult content are required to self-identify their programming in advance of playback.
