- How you can help Access SF fight the proposed $96K funding cut by the City & County of San Francisco! -
ATTEND A KEY MEETING OF THE BUDGET COMMITTEE OF THE BAORD OF SUPERVISORS & PARTICIPATE IN PUBLIC COMMENT
TOMORROW - JUNE 22ND, 2005
The Main Chambers of City Hall
From 2:00PM through the end of the business day
The Board of Supervisors Budget Committee will review the Access SF
budget as an item contained within the Department of Telecommunications
and Information Services (DTIS) budget. We expect this item will come
up for discussion and public comment around 3:00PM.
From 2:00PM, Access SF staff will be at the door of the Main Chamber to
hand out "Save Public Access" stickers, which you can wear. Whether you
are planning to contribute to public comment or not, it is important
for you to attend so the Budget Committee sees there are many people
present who care about this issue. If you are planning to contribute to
public comment, when you come into the Main Chamber go to the public
speaker's podium, and sign a speaker’s card, so they will be sure to
call your name.
CAN'T WAIT AROUND FOR PUBLIC COMMENT?
Another option is to come to City Hall at any time tomorrow and pay a
brief visit to each of the Board of Supervisors’ offices on the 2nd
floor. Tell their staff members that you want the $96K in funding cuts
to Access SF fully restored for the 05-06 fiscal year. Ask if a staff
person will record your comments. |
