In Honor Of National Media & Democracy Week.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND: The open house is designed for San Francisco Bay
Area non-profit organizations, non-profit professionals, board members
and related community organizers and volunteers who are involved with
nonprofit organizations.
WHAT WILL HAPPEN: The open house will provide nonprofits with a chance
to learn more about the station's state of the art resources & our
award winning non-profit collaborations program THE SAN FRANCISCANS.
Access SF is one the City's leading affordable pathways for local
non-profits to indulge that always-aching part of an agency's annual
budget - MEDIA!

* Food & Drink Will Be Served.
* Tours will be provided of Access SF’s 1.75 million dollar television
station & production facility.
* Non-profit Professionals will be given the chance to appear in station I.D.’s that will promote their agency.
* Access SF will provide demonstrations of newly acquired equipment.
* Access SF will launch its new non-profit membership program, which
includes a dynamic set of new services that are affordably packaged and
designed to benefit the media needs of the local non-profit sector.

ABOUT ACCESS SF / CABLE CHANNEL 29
Access SF is the dba of San Francisco Community Television Corporation
(SFCTC), which has served as the City's designated nonprofit manager of
public access television since 1999. Prior, SFCTC had built and managed
Citywatch, the City’s first government access channel launched during
Mayor Frank Jordan’s administration. In April 2002, the agency opened a
4,500 square foot facility located at 1720 Market Street where citizens
and nonprofits are offered low-cost training in media and television,
access to equipment and channel time, and state of the art facility
resources. Currently, 300+ producer members submit 225+ regular series
for playback each month. Annually, the station cablecasts 4800+ hours
of original local programming on Cable Channel 29, which reaches into
217,000+ households across all neighborhoods on both Comcast and RCN
cable. The mission of Access SF is to strengthen the fabric of
community life be enabling open communication through public access
