During late February and early March, Access SF will be working in
collaboration with Compass Community Services on installment #13 of The
San Franciscans - Focus On Homeless Services.
Compass Community Services provides housing, education and employment
services to San Francisco's homeless and at-risk families. The agency's
four programs - Connecting Point ~ Compass Family Center ~ Clara House
~ Tenderloin Childcare Center - support more than 3,000 parents and
children each year in their efforts to achieve stability and
self-sufficiency. Services include crisis intervention, homeless
prevention, emergency shelter, transitional housing, intensive case
management and therapy, job training, enriched infant care and
childcare, and permanent housing placement.
Access SF will work with Compass Community Services to identify (4)
additional nonprofit groups that work in the field of homeless services
in San Francisco. The nonprofits will be invited to participate in both
a one hour talk show and PSA component whereby each agency will receive
a no-cost PSA as part of the collaboration.
If you reprersent a nonprofit working in San Francisco, you can get
involved with an upcoming installment of The San Franciscans. Please
contact Marc Smolowitz, marc@accessf.org, 415-575-4947.
