MEDIA PRODUCTION
ORIENTATION

The first step to gettting involved at Access SF is attending a free orientation held at our facilities located at 1720 Market Street (at Valencia). Offered monthly, attendance at this 2-hour session is MANDATORY before enrolling in workshops or submitting a program for cablecast. Note: You must also pay your producer membership fee before submitting your program for cablecast.

Orientation provides local community members with an overview of the station, a tour of the facility, a walk through of our policies, and window on to training opportunities. Space is limited, so please pre-register to reserve a spot.

Upcoming orientation dates & times in 2008:

- Sat. Mar. 8th from 12 noon - 2:00pm
- Tuesday April 1 from 6:30pm till 8:30pm
- Saturday May 3 from 1pm till 3pm
- Wednesday June 25 from 6:30pm till 8:30pm

TO PRE-REGISTER FOR AN ORIENTATION, YOU MUST EITHER:
* Speak to an actual staff person (in-person or via phone) who can confirm there are still spaces available in the orientation you want to register for;
* Leave a message on (415) 575-4949 with the following information;

- Your name (please speak slowly & clearly, and spell your name if necessary.)
- Your phone number, your e-mail address, and the date of the orientation you are interested in registering in. You will receive a call back or e-mail from a staff person confirming your registration.

Access SF opens its workshop schedule on a quarterly basis, and there continues to be demand for community media training among diverse San Franciscans. When our facility at 1720 Market Street opened in April 2002, there was unprecendented interest by the local community with producers lining up at 7:00am to attend our first workshop sign-ups event (pictured above.)
