JULY 2006
Access SF was fortunate to be able to send (4) staff members to the Alliance for Community Media's 2006 International Conference and Trade Show in Boston, MA. With over 600 attendees from every state, the ACM's annual event is the signature national meeting for PEG Access and Community Media professionals.

Access SF is proud to support the Alliance for Community Media (ACM) in SNOWSTORM!, a national campaign to fight current federal legislation that places a grave threat upon the future of all public, education and government (PEG) access channels.
On Nov. 7th, 2005, Access SF participated in the campaign's first televised action whereby a "Snowstorm" (literally) blanketed the entire United States as PEG channels on cable systems in every state simultaneously showed one minute of video snow. This first "Snowstorm" hit nation-wide on the eve of state and local elections. "Snowstorm" will unfold as an ongoing action designed to organize grassroots support among PEG producers and viewers.
Access SF encourages you to get involved with Snowstorm!. For more informaiton, go to www.savemyfreespeech.net & find sample letters and other electronic advocacy tools that you can use for e-mailing your Congressional Representative today.
Another great online resource for staying involved with PEG Access at the federal level is the Save Access page on the Manhattan Neighborhood Network web site.
Also, check out the Save Access website for the most current updates on state and federal legislation that will impact PEG Channels and community media.
